Data lists are recorded as fully compatible with Safari and iOS but in 2025 they still do not work correctly which can be demonstrated here where examples 3 and 4 here showing a list of countries only show the code and not the name of the country whilst working correctly in all other systems/browsers: https://codepen.io/SitePoint/pen/jOVqGaJ
It only shows AF, AX and AL... in Safari on iOS so is a guessing game as to what country is what so affecting usability of data lists.
