<h1 style="color:Red;"><span class="headline" id="JAXLUG">Jacksonville Linux Users' Group (JaxLUG)</span></h1>
<p>The JaxLUG is a diverse assembly of Linux users from beginners, casual desktop users, system administrators, developers, and IT professionals.<br>
The group has a passion for supporting Linux and Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and live in the Jacksonville Florida Area.<br>
The JaxLUG, originally started by Daniel Stringfield in 1996, and is led by <a href="/officers.html" title="Officers">Officers</a>, who are elected annually.

<p>To get to know the group become a member of the JaxLUG, please join our Mailing List, and attend our Monthly Meetings.</p>

<h2><span class="headline" id="Meetings">JaxLUG Meetings</span></h2>

<p>The JaxLUG meets every 3rd Wednesday of every month, conditions permiting. <br>
We are been hosted by Amy Woodson at <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZBn9NH5jNwFJN6us6" title="Map">Northwestern Mutual Bldg. 4345 Southpoint Drive South, Jacksonville, FL 32216.</a><br>
The meeting begins with social intermingling at 6:30PM, fallowed by introductions, then the presentations start at 7:00 PM. JaxLUG meeting presenters and topics vary,
from month to month, you can take a look at our Past Meeting History to see some of the topics. The presentation for the current month will be displayed in the
<a href="#Next_Meeting"><span class="tocnumber"></span> <span class="toctext">"Next Meeting"</span></a> section of this page.
</p>
<p>The <i>LUSH<i> (Linux Users Social Hour) is a gathering of the members after each meeting. Is held at a local restaurant determined at the end of the meeting.
We gather to continue conversations on a wide range of topics, and have some food and drinks.

<h3><span class="line" id="Present">Be a Presenter at a meeting</span></h3>
<p>Anyone, be it local, outsider, hobbyist, professional, student, or other, is welcome to be a presenter at any meeting. With a
topic of their choosing, or one the group has requested. Simply provide a Title and a Synopsis of the presentation to Rob, Ralph, or Ramon. <br>
Please, provide adequate time for us to post the presentation in social media.

<h3><span class="line" id="googleGroups">Post a question in Google Groups <img src="images/G-Groups.png" alt="google" style="vertical-align:bottom"> </span></h3>
<p>if you are New to Linux, don't worry we have a google groups to answer all your basic questions. You can also meet people with similar hobbies, interests, and backgrounds.
Learn about a topic your interested and join a discussions in the <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="https://groups.google.com/g/jaxlug">JaxLUG Google Group.</a>
The Group receives announcements and event updates thru the Google Groups. So, you can keep up to date with the group events.

<p>We have a <a href="https://discord.com" title="Discord Server">Discord Server</a> where you can get event information, contacts, tech news, and other events in the area.
you can also become part of the comminuty. Access to the server is usually by invitation, but you can search JaxLUG and request for an invite into the server. </p>

<li><b>9:xx PM</b> - Linux Users' Social Hour (LUSH)<br/>Join us afterwards for more conversations and discussions with "snacks and beverages of choice" at an agreed upon location.</li>
