Problem Description

It would be really useful to have a instant chat feature inbuilt, that way analysts can communicate in real time on the same platform. Screenshare would be awesome too!

Possible Solutions

Maybe something like RocketChat or MatterMost.

@leejlawson some users requested a Slack integration on which you'd receive notifications when a case is created, an analysis job is started/finished etc. See #20. Would that answer your needs? Of course, Slack being like shouting in the clouds, you would have to be extra careful about what you are sharing on that platform.

In an era with so many chat solutions, it seems a waste of development time for us to go into that direction but we can consider integrations with existing solutions. Besides Slack, which one shall we consider? I am speaking about major ones of course.

I also think that integration with established chat software is the way to go. Don't create another chat program.

I heard that a lot of teams use Mattermost, which is basically an open source self hosted version of slack.
By just adding the Webhook feature #20 to TheHive the integration in a chat software like mattermost will be very easy.
