Feature Description

Currently it's only possible to implement the spinner in the M2 appearance, according to the M3 specs (https://m3.material.io/components/progress-indicators/overview) the new version looks different (rounded corners + background) and as far as I can see in the angular material docs, it is not possible to customize the current component this way. Is it possible to support this new appearance while keeping backwards compatibility regarding M2?
