HTTPS needs perl-LWP-Protocol-https package. For example when a user tried to send HTML page:

I've added the missing Requires:.
RPMs with the fix are available in the sympa-beta COPR.
I cannot link the commit as it is not published currently and I have yet to work out a workflow for you and me now that sympa is in Fedora. Very likely moving from GitHub to Fedora's Pagure is the way to go. I've yet to file a request to get you packager status in Fedora, this is the first step. I will try and get that done today.
