So after reading about the trade crisis US farmers face this year, and one economist points out in order for US farmers to compete and reap a profit instead ofloss is "The bottom line is maybe we have to plant fewer acres.". https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/dec/30/farmers-trump-tariffs
Any other business adapts to the changes with time, accept farming. The farming industry has only improved in scale, and now that scale is showing economic strain on even large producers, whose land value and costs hugely outpace production values. We've been farming like this for 10000 years, adapting the tools and increasing the size of production facilities is not the only answer.
