Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Pure enhancement request, not an issue . . . the 16 heated bed tiles are a super unique feature of the XL printer, this should be highlighted more and the user should have a better view both before and during a print !!
Describe the solution you'd like
Request is two fold . . .
Background . . . the only feedback the use gets showing how many Prusa XL heating tiles are in use is on the printers LCD screen, and that little tiny image is hard to see, and not until you start a print. I like to position models on the bed to use the fewest tiles, to save some electricity when printing. Request . . . have Prusa Slicer show us on the XL bed plate bitmap image how many tiles will be powered once we slice the model. You already have the 4x4 tile grid displayed on the build plate image, so would just need to add red tint to the tiles that'll be used when printing.
On the LCD screen of the printer, have a larger view of the heated bed tiles, view of the whole heated bed with the model, showing the tiles in use. Also with reddish colored tint for the active tiles vs normal color for unused tiles.
Describe how it would work
Once Prusa Slicer is done slicing a model for Prusa XL printer, change the heated bed individual tile color to a reddish tint for the tiles that will be used during the print just sliced. I see two possible options to achieve this, individual bitmaps of the build plate for each tile "active" scenario. Or via software generate the build plate bit image based on the heater tile usage for the currently sliced model.
Describe alternatives you've considered

Keep up the amazing work and printers !!

(Fellow user agreeing) It would be nice to know sometimes, especially with a tall narrow slow print where an unfortunate choice of placement leaves a lot of tiles heated when it could be localised more.
It looks like the printer is entirely in charge of deciding which tiles to heat, and that the slicer doesn't have a way of telling the printer which to heat, except implicitly by declaring the print area as a rectangle prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy#4192
You could edit your XL bitmap to colour the graticules differently for different tiles? I presume the regions triggering a heated tile overlap by some distance defined in the printer's firmware. It would have to be updated every time the heating scheme in the firmware is updated.
