The training material is incorrect, as already reported in 2018 (#796).
It says:
Configure TheHive
The first time you access TheHive, you’ll need to create the associated database by clicking on the Update Database button as shown below:
However the first time you access TheHive, it does prompt you for a username and password, and does not display an Update Database button.
In the comments of #796 you can find a curl command which nukes thehive's database. It somehow works, but I had to reboot the VM until the update database button appeared (service thehive restart did not help)
If this is the official, intended way to use your appliance, you should either mention that in the tl;dr section of your documentation (since you cannot use the hive without that hack) or include it into your provisioning so users get a fresh database.
