OTA Upgrade from Tasmota 14.4.1 to 14.5.0 Sonoff ZigbeeBridge Pro fails -- help

Hello,

i was starting an OTA Update today. 14.4.1 was just working fine, but i wanted to exploit latest berry extensions in 14.5.0

After i started the OTA Update, i saw the message that the device will restart.
But device did not come back online again (neither normal as expected nor with safeboot).

Power cycle did not change anything :-(

Power cycling 6 times neither. No Tasmota WLAN showing up!

• Are there known problems?
• How can i bring up the device again.

P.S.: i did not initially flash the device with Tasmota. I bought the Tasmota pre-flashed version from Mediarath, as i am not so versed with serial flashing devices.

Hop anyone has an idea!

Honestly, don't know what went wrong. My experience Mediarath is helpful, ask for help if you can't manage to reflash the device yourself. Serial flashing this device isn't complicated, read our docu and buy one of this cheap recommended USB serial converters.

Thanks, i was able to reflash via serial. As you said it was not too complicated and was a good addition to my learning curve!

As i had to re-join all ZB devices, each device got a different short-address compared to the "before error" setup.
I use zbname to assign names to devices (short addresses). But as these are randomly generated with each join, i was wondering, if zbname could not be enhanced to use the unambiguous IEEEAddress instead of the random short-address. Did not find anything in the docs though.

The recommended way (as you did) assign names.

The ZbName command does already support <device> being the long IEEEAddress instead of the random short one. This is explained in the beginning of the docs sections about the available commands.

I'm never using the "short address" in any commands, rules or similar, and save my ZbName commands (using the IEEEAddress) for later reuse, just in case.

Thanks sfromis! I oversaw this :-(
Was mainly looking at https://tasmota.github.io/docs/Zigbee/. The examples there were only using the short address. Now that i know this i also will save my zbname commands with the IEEE addresses to save some work once this happens again.
