First Italian translation draft #103
Conversation
Hi, thanks!
In the German version, we tried to use neutral tone, avoiding pronouns. Is that possible in Italian? FWIW, I'm going to search proof-readers. Best, |
Hi @skade, Best, |
@10ko sure, we also give leeway to translators there, you know your language best :). I assume there will be a few people looking at that over the next days, I contacted a few. |
hi :) I was asked to take a look. To answer @skade, unfortunately those solutions cannot be applied to all cases :( @10ko pick is probably the less problematic, and people are also used to see it in official documents. |

Foreign words don't get the plural form, usually.

la regola vale per tutte le parole straniere: invariabili se entrate nell'uso comune, col plurale d'origine se sentite come esotismi.
I am not sure this can be considered an "exotic" word.

"gli user group e le conferenze"
Hi, |
Hello, hello! Best, ps. Some of the mistakes were very simple. It's unbelievable how much the expat years and a GB keyboard can impact your ability in writing in your own language. :O |
@10ko tell me about it, I'm in Germany, speaking English most of the time 😱 checking now for the final review :3 |

I'll keep it short so it might look rude, but just imagine I add a "please" and a ❤️ after each comment :p
è
instead of e'
Okay, if everyone is alright with that, I'll merge. Could you please all give me your twitter handles for the upcoming tweet? |
the magic described in the README in the deployment section @bascht :) edit: https://github.com/rubyberlin/code-of-conduct#deployment PS: @bascht should really become an org member :P |
Stand back everyone, I'm gonna try some magic. 👯 |
And with 4e8bc73 we're golden: http://berlincodeofconduct.org/it/ @PragTob Is it the blue or the green Githuborganisationsmitgliedschaftsantragsformular? |
Hello everyone,
This is the first draft of the translation of the CoC into Italian language. 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹
Few issues here.
Having a look at the rb file it should pick it up automatically but, at least in my local machine, it doesn't.
It could definitely be a problem with my setup but at this point I didn't have a lot of time to investigate.
That's it. It took me way less time than I thought which makes me think I could have done it way earlier than today. But yeah.. :)
Looking forward to any comments and corrections.
Emanuele.
