Before working in you store, after you have seeded the database, please take a moment to browse the automatically generated products. They have descriptive names and reviewing their settings will help you to understand how Salor Retail Works.
If you haven't purchased a support and backup package from Red(E), then you will need to do this on your own. You can create a shell script that dumps the database daily.
Alternatively, if you get a support package from us, we include remote backups as well, and can log into your machine and restore them.
From left to right:
- Salor Icon: Will take you to the Vendor(Store List) page, rarely pressed.
- Home: Will take you to the current active vendor page.
- Clock In: When having multiple employees on a single register, allows them to "Clock In" to the system to have an employee time entry. This tracks the "hours" they were working. They must Clock In a second time to "Clock Out".
- Items: Takes you to the Items Index
- Orders: Takes you tot he Orders Index
- Drawer Button: Shows the currently logged in user, and the amount of money in the register. If you press it, it will open the Cash Drop and Payout dialog.
- Pos Button: Will take you to the current logged in register for this machine, if you are already there, it will reload the POS screen, which can sometimes help to clear unwanted behavior.
- End of Day: What you press when you are completely done for the day and wish to generate an End of Day report for this register.
The Buttons, in order from Left to Right are:
- Create a new empty order (The current one is still there, and you can come back to it later)
- Configuration options for this Order
- View Open orders, and Last Completed Orders (Allows to reprint receipt, and see finale change calculation)
- Display the Buttons Popup
- Search for an Item (Just like Google :))
- Open the Cash Drawer (Only if Cash Drawer is connected to the Thermal Printer)
