Chapter 2.1 Item Types
There are several types of Items in Salor Retail, aside from Normal Item
- Coupons
- Gift Cards
- Buyback
- a conto
Coupons have a subtype, % off, fixed amount, and buy 1 get 1.
Coupons stack in the POS, so you can have multiple coupons applying simultaneously. Buy1Get1 coupons are smart, you can buy 4 and get 2 etc.
Gift Cards are sold like normal items, though they have a 0% Tax Profile as they are not a real sale. Once the card is sold it is automatically activated and can be used to discount purchases. Once the card is empty, it can no longer be used.
These types of items are special cases, when you want to refund/exchange one item for another, or you want to pay your customers for bringing back glass bottles, or you want to do lottery payouts.
This is a special case item that credits an amount already paid towards a final invoice. You normally would not use this except in special business circumstances.
